Hah! I painted something that isn't flat! :nana:

I've unofficially named the puppy "Little Monster" (or perhaps just "Monster") because it seemed like the kind of name she'd give it, not being well educated or familiar with dogs having "people names".

Wow she's great! Cute dog too ;) How do you draw lips? Yours look so perfect.. *stares at the her lips*

I did her lips differently than most of my characters...she's got a sort of pointy upper lip which mirrors the other points on her, since I wanted her to seem sharp and alert and slightly exotic. The lips I paint follow three rules: top lip must be darker, always start with the skin tone and build up whatever shade you want them to be, and put a small shadow under the bottom lip, unless it's lit from the bottom, in which case...don't.

lovely use of dots in the background! you should (unless you already have) make a little tutorial on how you paint like this. (flat or not i still love it)
