What I like best about this one is the way you managed to create an almost-but-not-quite spindly build for her by emphasizing the arms and fingers. It's subtle, which is far better than the more obvious routes I've seen taken for such anatomy. And that is a beautiful hand.

Looking at the root bases of these trees, I have a random question: what is your favorite kind of forest?

Taiga.. but I mostly paint deciduous/European type forests because I can be more imaginative with the trees.

Have you ever thought about doing an image of JUST the trees? You use trees so often, it seems inevitable, and I imagine you could create something lovely of it.
