This looks like it could be a book cover for a fantasy novel! I like the turquoise color you used for the water.

This itself is already really pretty.
BUT for some reason, once I had discovered the little boat showing me how huge everything else was, I loved this piece even more. It has a quite fascinating feeling to it.

The colors and shading are just great!
Love how you've made the water reflections on the tree, and how you made the transparency effect, using a brighter color for the underwater roots..
The render is amazing.

Oh and had you got the idea to add the boat only at the end? Because (its maybe wanted) i've got a feeling of a lack of scale.. After trying to guess what caused that feeling, I'd say that if you could add some steam clouds ad the bottom of the waterfalls, it could be more credible.. Just an idea :)

Keep up the good work!

The scale thing was intentional, either the boat is very tiny or the world is unreasonably huge :P

Well, thats different :)

If the boat is very tiny, its okay, but if its huge, you should add details on the tree, on the rocks, and maybe add those steam clouds i talked about (the water's behaviour is different consequently to its scale..). Well its up to you of course!! Sorry

Beautiful water effects, but, is the light source below the tree? My eyes may be numb from hours of the screen, the landscape is still very pretty, for lack of a better term. The little boat puts size into perspective nicely.

All your scenery work is just fantastic. Everything in this looks so lovely and smooth. I really love the way the rocks look beneath the surface of the water, in particular.

Wow,very nice! However, I feel that the reflection of water on the tree bark ought following the curve of the bark.It kinda looks like light blue veins are reaching up the tree.Perhaps a tad bit more reflection of light on the water flowing down toward the lowest right rock in the picture? The top most/left most part of the tree near the waterfall and the lil' guy on the bost could use a little bit of highlighting too.Um, sorry if the long critique offends you ^^' I do love the picture, though.

Of course critique doesn't offend me, I love it :D I was going for caustic light patterns on the tree, like you see on the side of boats, but I utterly failed at them because they're very complex xD It does look like veins.

I feel your artistic fantasy pain! D:

This is so soothing to me and I love feeling such refreshment upon looking at an artwork!

The rich and weathered tree is fabulous. We'll not go into the water because I'm sure trying to describe how much I like it will give me a seizure. Annnnnnd to top it all off, I JUST noticed that there is a figure in a canoe (?) in the shadow there which totally blows away my idea of size for this.

Top notch!

I couldn't have imagined from the thumbnail how truly beautiful this piece is. The boat simply changes everything! it's not "incredibly blue water" anymore nor "a stream to soak my feet in" noo, it has to be the freakin Yggdrasil tree's roots flooded with polar water ·__·

I want to swim there... now T_T
