Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

Thanks to everyone who showed up tonight. I hope you stayed around for the afterparty, which included me rambling for like two hours about various things. My embarrassingly high-pitched voice was on display for casual visitors to experience. It was RAW.

Awesome concept! I have a question though - would it be possible to consider re-saving the recording to a faster speed for replaying?

I'm not sure how the broadcasting site works, but it would be really great to have a sound-less sped up version as sort of a recap. Maybe 300% or so?

Fantastic work though, Definitely going to try and stop by for the next one for a wee bit. Thanks for sharing!

Aaaah, bummer!

I have used fraps to record my stuff in Photoshop, which has worked out pretty well - the only downside is it creates about 1GB per ~5mins of work (no sound, half screen, 20fps)... so recording the whole session without interruption may be killer on your hard drive.

From there though, if you can snag a copy of Adobe Premiere, it's very easy to import the raw vid, speed up the replay and export as a compressed AVI file.

Either way, good stuff and great idea to stream it - It's enjoyable to see your work and creativity.
