It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

What I'm looking for:
Everything! Wolves, foxes, fennec foxes, ferrets, servals, bobcats, tigers, other big cats, small cats, deers, dragons, gryphons, dogs, birds, hybrids, original species.. bring it!
I'm leaving the details to your imagination, but here are some things I really like:
-White base color with black and red markings<33 (mostly on canines)
-Cute and fluffy things! No need to go all big eyes and oversized heads, but animals with fur. Creepy and slimy things just aren't my thing.. Still don't be afraid to make something dark/evil
-Anything tribal
-Native american stuff
-Feathers!
-Tawny, golden, brown, white, red, blue, cyan, gray, black (well, not all combined)
-I like more natural base colors, but with smaller markings in unnatural colors like blue or red

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only  to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?

Thorns OC contest - A WINNER IS YOU

I have in my hand (ok, on another tab) the results of our Thorns OC contest!

To recap, the aim of this contest was to create a character design based on the world of Thorns, my online steam-era fantasy RPG. Entrants had to research the world and its races, fashions and cultures to create interesting and unique characters.

The mods and I have tabulated our favorite entries, and here they are!

Third prize goes to ~Dakotaa for her character Deidre Mungo!



I loved this design for its bright, happy colors, unique style and the NAME, which is awesome ("mungo" is a term of endearment meaning "dummy" in Tek). Her young witch character looks about ready to jump off the page and come to life. Her hair is amazing, and tattoos on kids? adorableeeee

We were all cracking up at this character. From his fixation with the derriere to his talisman collection to his unfortunate illiteracy, I think everyone fell in love with Fib a little bit. I would definitely love to see this guy bumming around Hollow Street begging for change and hitting on townies.

There's so much to love about this design. ~coNstantine2530 really went above and beyond by detailing Chesko's belongings. The costume design is fantastic, with a really great color scheme; it reflects wick culture very effectively. Hair-wise, that style is really fantastic; we all loved the chops (a necessity for any self-respecting wick) and the little rabbit friend he carries with him. Personally I love the warm color scheme and the stinky boots (complete with encircling flies).
